We bought from 1stwindows. I think that my client's Milgard Tuscany windows are approx. 10 years old, and Milgard STILL honored their on-line warranty. They scheduled the replacement on my client's day off. Everything went smooth as silk and the work only took 45 minutes! My client couldn't be happier with the entire process. We have extreme climate and weather in Denver. We are happy with out Milgard ultra patio doors. The are over 20 years old and just now needed service. The factory came out and fixed the glass as well as siliconed the track and locks. I feel good about the decision that I made years back and purchased them specifically for the warranty. The latch for our bathroom Milgard window caught and the window could not be opened. I called under the warranty. I was told that the earliest appoint was slightly more than a month, but that they would try to fit me in earlier. After about 3 weeks, having not heard from Milgard, I called again, and they told me that they would make the service call as originally scheduled -- i.e., they could not fit me in earlier. When Milgard finally showed up, it took the repairman (literally) one minute to unstick the window and open it. Suggestion: Why not have a repairman who go to the jobsite to look at the problem and take care of simple problems quickly. If the job requires a time consuming repair, you can come back, but meanwhile, I'm sure you could speed up the process and eliminate a lot of time consuming service calls by sending someone out to take care of easy problem and to triage more complicated problems. Absolutely the best customer service you could hope for! I am a contractor in the Olympia, Wa. area and have used Milgard windows on my last few projects. I found that Kell-Chuck glass carried the product and have used them exclusively for the last few years. They are fantastic and have exceeded my expectations time and again. On the latest project we used the fiberglass framed windows in a dark bronze finish, they arrived in a timely fashion and look great on the house! One of the upper floor casement windows was damaged in shipping and needed to be changed out after install, not a problem, my rep. Dalora from Kell-Chuck was right on top of things and the Milgard customer service repair guy was there two days later to get things fixed. Truly a great product and a fabulous dealer. Just had milgard windows installed last week and I can see they are very well made. I love the ease of opening and closing them. I can tell the difference in the sound inside the house, meaning it is very quiet when they are closed. Very well insulated. I look forward to the energy savings from these windows.
