Our installers were unsure of how to properly install the handle-lock on our sliding door and our screen door was sliding poorly. We bought our Milgard Style Line windows at 1stwinodws so we contacted them for help. They called Milgard service a serviceman come out and was friendly, got right to work, fixed both problems quickly, and was on his way. Happy to have everything operational again. We purchased our home 2 years ago, and were pleased with many of the improvements made by the previous owners, including the Milgard windows. When I called about a problem we were having with one of the windows, the customer service told us they were still under warranty, and that the warranty follows the windows, not the home owners -- good news to me. It took a while before a day could be scheduled, but when Sergio arrived to fix the one window we were having problems with, He was very quick and efficient, and had upgraded all of our windows to the new pieces. We have Milgard windows in our home. Anytime a problem arose with one of the windows, Milgard was right there to stand behind their product. When doors made by another company needed replacing, we looked no farther than Milgard. Milgard is living up to its reputation. One of the doors needed adjusting and a Milgard service person was out, no questions asked, and fixed the door. They sell a quality product that is attractive, easy to operate and maintain. As an orignial homeowner, I have been using Milgard windows since the 1980's. There life time warranty did not start until the 1990's sometime. By 2012, I had two octogon windows and two skylights fail and leaking. The techs came out and acknowledged the problems. I was then scheduled for repair. They returned prompltly with new windows and repaired the skylights. They did a terrific job. Now were are waiting for our next big rains to hit to see if the repaired skylight have been fixed appropriately. The techs said if they fail, they will be back to correct the problem.
