As the original owner/builder of our home, I cannot say enough about Milgard Tuscany windows and how well they stand behind their product. After almost 12 years one of our small windows, lost its seal, fogged up and started to fail. I contacted a Milgard representative who quickly pulled up our file (records) and denoted the exact window. A service call was then set up and a few weeks later the window was replaced. The technician (Steve) was prompt, courteous and obviously experienced. He was in and out quickly, brought all the right tools (and window) for the job. We had all (Non-Milgard) windows replaced in 1994 with Milgard aluminum windows. Since then, we've had a few windows fail. The service was so easy that I was expecting to have to keep calling Milgard until they finally came. So wrong! The tech was on time (I was advised of the arrival time and date via phone and email) and was friendly and quick. He even checked all the other windows in case I missed a failed window. We bought from 1stwindows several years ago and needed a service call on our door. The initial phone call and service was great. The email contact took a couple days with each reply. Service had to be rescheduled because of bad weather, but was happy they made up on a Saturday so I didn't have to take another day off work. Our Milgard service need was taken care of efficiently and with courtesy. The latch on our Tuscany awning window was broken preventing a window from being opened, so the first suggestion was to let them mail a new latch for us to easily trade out, rather than wait for a technician. The latch came quickly and should have been the perfect solution, except that our screw was stripped, so a technician was necessary after all. The two service techs (Stan and his tech partner) were exceptional in every sense. They quickly diagnosed and explained their reasons for the diagnosis. My questions were answered clearly and they were both very courteous and professional. If I ever need window service in the future I will ask for them by name. The phone/ scheduling staff has average customer service skills (they sound annoyed that you've called) and made a mistake with my initial service call so that it had to be rescheduled. Each time the customer service was exceptional and the service tech was unobtrusive, efficient, thorough, and extremely professional.
