We used Milgard vinyl windows when we remodeled our home in the early 90's. The windows are either casements and/or awning types. The windows have performed well, as to be expected, have needed some minor tweaks over the last 12 plus years since they were first installed. Milgard has been GREAT in responding to service calls. We had some Milgard Trinsic windows replaced yesterday and the service from start to finish was excellent from who I spoke to on the phone to make the appointment to the men who came in our home to install the windows. Our technician Sergey arrived early, replaced the bad glass quickly and professionally. I had set up the entire appointment online and knew within two hours when to expect his arrival. Sergey then helped by replacing some old parts on several windows around my house. He also gave me some tips for maintaining the windows. This has made them easier to open and shut and they function more smoothly. Sergey was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and went above and beyond what I expected. I don't know what is reasonable to expect from products. Our Milgard Style Line Windows are 9 or 10 years old. We have just had our 2nd and 3rd crank out windows replaced for moisture between the panes The first was replaced last summer/fall for the same concern.A problem that has never been resolved is the locks on sliding windows that catch when the window is closed and pulls a portion of the framing of the window loose. As a consequence we have removed the locks and use a 2x2 in the guide for security. We have asked techs about the problem when they were repairing other problems (not this time) but didn't get much of a response. I don't need service for this problem.
