Milgard Windows: Couldn't ask for better service!
Review By JoAnne41
This is the second time we have used the Milgard service. Both times we had a fog in the same double paned window. They stand behind their product 100% and quickly replaced the defective window glass pane. We wouldn't hesitate to purchase their products again and constantly refer Milgard Glendale, CA (Los Angeles County)
Milgard Windows first in class service
Review By Les53
We purchased Milgard Trinsic Windows and Doors. We had a seal failure on or fixed arched top window and they replaced it no questions asked. This door is used more than any other door in our house and the original hinges could not stand up to the high use.The service people are fantastic and replaced the hinges with ones less susceptible to repeated use. I wish they had initially used the other hinges because I have had to adjust the doors repeatedly the last 3 years. Hopefully this will solve the problem. The other difficult issue is that this is the only key lock door in our house and I had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment. I spent hours repeatedly adjusting the door so we could lock it and sometimes we just had to leave it open. Seal Beach, CA (Orange County)

Milgard Tusany vs Trinsic Windows and I chose Tuscany
Review By TheMann
I called 1stWindows and asked them the difference between Milgard Tuscany vs Milgard Trinsic. They broke it down pretty simple. Tuscany has more vinyl surrounding the glass so it has less glass area, both have even site lines, both come with grids if you want them, and the Trinsic can be upgraded to accidental glass breakage. They explained do you want a more modern look then its Trinsic and if you want a more classic/traditional look then it Tuscany. The frame depth for Tuscany is 3 1/4 which is great when replacing old wood windows and the Trinsic is 2 7/8 which is great when doing retrofit windows and trying to save the window blinds. I went with the Milgard Tuscany because I am replacing old wood windows and the distance from the screen stop to the sill is 3 1/4 inches and the Tuscany looks like a wood window so my house keeps that old cottage look. I bought my Milgard Windows the old fashioned way and went to their store. They still gave me the online price. Orange, CA (Orange County)
Milgard Technician Ed, was great and timely
Review By Syb12
Hello Milgard, Let's start by commending Ed the technician who came out and replaced my windows. He was personable and professional, and did a great job. This is greatly appreciated! Ok, for improvements, the product number on window very difficult to locate for the service center, if possible move the numbers towards middle of window or a better location, rather than top corner. As for the service date, it was scheduled on a date too far out. Then two days before, I was informed the technician was not available on appointment date. Had to call again to confirm new appointment. This last minute change puts undue stress on the homeowner especially if they need to take time off from work. Please reevaluate your processes to improve customer service practices. Thank you Milgard Olympia, Washington

Milgard Windows jammed and 1stWindows helped, even 7 years later
Review By Vacation
I decided to write this review about what happened last summer after thinking about it the other day. We hired a window cleaner and after he finished my Milgard Tuscany Double hungs would not lock and it was late afternoon on a Saturday. They woulndt even shut and we were flying out of town for two weeks the next day early in the morning and we are super stressed out. My wife and I are in a total panic and the window cleaner claims it not his fault. I called my installer and window dealers in my local area but everyone was closed and none picked up the phone. I found my purchase receipt email from 1stwindows when I bought them online (purchased 7 years ago) and they too were closed so I used their contact us form. An hour went by and a number I did not recognize rang on my phone. Ohhhhh my gosh! I answered it and I heard Hi this is Doug the Window Guy (President of 1stWindows). With a standard straight screwdriver and a pair of safety glasses the window was fixed in less than two minutes. He was actually on a bus tour leaving a national park when he called me back. My original installer never called me back (I guess I was a one and done) but 1stwindows did call me and saved us. I told him I will never use this window washer again however he asked me other than the window issue did he do a good job? Yes Then just tell him to lift the bottom panel up at least 2 inches before tilting it in and just educate him. 1stWindows is truly a trusted Milgard Window source. Tuscon, Arizona
Why we picked Milgard Windows for our major remodel
Review By RugbyOne
This is our first big remodel and we are a young family, so we really took our time choosing windows. We ended up going with Milgard Windows for the whole house because of the lifetime warranty, low upkeep, and the range of different window types. We have a typical modern midcentury home in Lakewood. Our architectural plans call for horizontal sliding, single hungs, casements, awning windows, and one sliding door. These are all in the Trinsic series luckily. We only wanted to buy things once really don’t want to be replacing things down the road so we picked Milgard Black Trinsic Windows and opted for the accidental glass breakage warranty. 1stWindows informed us why it’s important to get the breakage insurance and it wasn’t that much money but if a window cracks then the labor and material is covered. Owner asked us how long we planned to keep the house which was the first time anyone asked us that question. Basically we never plan to move again. He explained why sometimes any dual paned windows may have rare spontaneous breakage not due to anything hitting the glass. We bought them from 1stWindows online and got a better deal than local big box stores and lumber yards. We felt comfortable dealing with them and they really are nice guys in the office and always pick up the phone and answered our calls or emails. The owner told us this is his 30th year in business and 25th year selling Milgard windows online. Lakewood, CA (Los Angeles County)
