when I initially contacted Milgard regarding my issue the rep wanted to know the information off of the tag on the window to verify it was a Milgard window. The tag was no longer on the window and I had to go back and forth with the rep before they would send anyone out to replace the window. Tech told me that there is a number between the panels of glass no on Milgard windows. Other than a slow start , the service was 5 star. Warren, OR (Columbia County)

When I called and talked to Pat at Milgard she arranged the installation at my convenience. She called on day of installation to tell me the technician had found an imperfection, but she would prefer to install it anyway for safety reasons. They came in and did a wonderful job. She arranged for a replacement in two weeks. The technician came in and we both could not find the imperfection (some kind of shadow in glass). I told him not replace it to save your company some money because of your excellent service. You went above and beyond my expections. We delayed calling to have our \blown\" dual pane windows replaced because we feared there would be such a hassle, and it had been 9 years, we really did not expect much. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised! During a remodel over 10 years ago we replaced all the windows in our home with Milgard Low E windows. All have worked perfectly until the seal failed in a large half round window which became cloudy in cold weather. We contacted Milgard expecting that they would provide a replacement window which would have to be installed at our expense. To our surprise Milgard sent a technician to our home and replaced the window in the existing frame. The new window looks just like the day it was installed. I am the 3rd owner of my home so my Milgard Tuscany windows are out of warranty. The windows are 12 years old and I had 2 panels of glass with seal failure. Got a couple bids to have the glass replaced and it seemed like the companies were just not interested by the high prices. Called 1stwindows and the owner asked me how handy was I. I'm a mechanical Engineer and do many home repairs so he had me get the serial numbers out of the glass and ordered the panels. Went to their shop with a sliding panel and he had me change the glass which took about 30 minutes under is supervision. Got home and changed the fixed panel in 15 minutes myself. I had borrowed one of their suction cups which made it very easy. 1stwindows really helped me out and save a substantial amount of money. Torrance, CA (Los Angeles County)
