The Milgard Ultra patio doors are awseome. However, our installers didn't do a very good job. But, Milgard has terrific customer service, and they came out and serviced the doors and everything worked fine after that. Milgard's warranty is also really good. The came out and replaced a screen. It's hard to believe in this day and age that a lifetime warranty actually still exists. So many things are designed to last until just after the standard, sub-standard warranty expires. We had our original windows of our house replaced in 2010 with Milgard. My neighbor had Milgard before us and couldn't say enough good things about this company. She told me how Milgard will replace any defective window for as long as we own the house, as well as how easy it was to get Milgard to replace any window. She was absolutely right. Recently one of my double-paned Milgard Ultra windows got some vapor inside of it and needed to be replaced. I called, spoke immediately to a real, live human being, who scheduled me for a replacement. She told me where to look on the window to find the information she needed to know what window they were replacing. Three days before the appointment, I received a phone call telling me what two hour window of time I would expect the service technician to arrive, as well as an email with the same information, with the technician's name and photo. He arrived exactly when I expected and within 15 minutes had the old window out, the new one installed, and was on his way. He was very careful to remove any debris that may have come loose in replacing the window, as well as take the debris with him.
