This window is replacing a 17-year old off-brand double pane vinyl window that leaked moisture between the glass. I have one other Milgard window that has performed well, so I was pleased when our contractor selected Milgard as the replacement for this installation. So far, it looks good, fits well, slides easily and locks easily. Of course, only time will tell how well it holds up in this location, as compared to its predecessor. Tech,Was on time reassessed the issue with our bay window. Confirmed the window had failed. Was a little concerned that the tech indicated that he may not have the right replacement window. Would have thought after providing measurements and sales order inform, with a one month notice for service that there would not have been a question? Milgard's lifetime warranty was a key part of our purchasing decision when we built our home. Now, eleven years later we were experiencing a picture window failure (internal off color clouding) and several other door and window \adjustment\" issues. We called and they sent a tech to evaluate and measure for a replacement. He was very professional and took thorough notes. Once the window was manufactured three techs came on site (well scheduled so we could plan to be home) to replace the bad window and fix the other items. All three were polite, professional and represented Milgard well. They went right to work swapping out the window (it was a large picture window in the middle of a great room glass wall), protecting the wood floor from any ladder scuffs, etc. They replaced the runner on one sliding door and adjusted a casement window that had stopped locking. I purchased between-the-panes blinds on my patio door. I don't know why, but the magnetic mechanism that raises the blinds has failed 4-5 times. Each time, Milgard dutifully comes out and replaces the panel. I wish the product was better, but the service is truly exceptional. Glendale, CA (Los Angeles County)

Service Tech resolved air leak problems on three recently installed Millgard doors. Also, he took the time to check door alignment on five other Millgard doors. Impressed with his commitment to customer satisfaction. I recommend the window company installers receive better training on aligning doors as part of the installation.
