Breather Tubes
Due to the high altitude you must have breather tubes in every Milgard window and door in Mammoth. These tubes let your windows equalize as they go up the mountain. When breather tubes are inserted and we have Title 24 requirements then sometimes we need to use an extra coating of Low E to make sure you comply with the state energy code.

We shopped around our little mountain community in Mammoth Lakes, Bishop, and big box stores and got what we thought were high prices. Then we came across 1stwindows and prices that seemed too good to be true. They were right in budget. We called Milgard Windows to check out 1stwindows and were told by the factory that they are one of the top tier Milgard dealers in the country as well as one of the oldest since 1995. So we purchased our Milgard Ultra Doors and Windows and from 1stwindows and they were delivered factory direct. Keep in mind this is curbside only so we had to move them from the end of the driveway to the house. The Milgard driver had a handy cart and did help even though he really was not required to do so. The company that installed our Milgard windows went out of business. I was concerned that we may have a problem getting a window replaced in home that had a stress crack. I called 1stwindows and explained the problem. our original sales person from years ago mentioned the we had accidental glass breakage insurance on the windows. About four-weeks later, I was contacted by the installer. He said that he had our window and asked if he could install it the following day.
