April 27, 2015Had to replace a number of windows in my home wherein the seals between the double panes had failed. The original installation was in 1993-94. While I was aware that some of them had failed for a while, when those affecting our view became fogged, I finally acted to correct the problem.
Was delighted that the original warranty is in effect and covered the replacements.
The process was very straight forward and was treated by everyone in the Milgard system in an excellent manner. The installers were efficient and professional beyond expectations.

April 27, 2015I found the warranty representative less than friendly and after speaking with her supervisor found he had a similar attitude. Other than their service and attitude, I found the technicians who came to my house to evaluate the windows and the repair crew who came to replace those that had failed after 18 years, to be courteous, professional, clean and fast. I have been very happy with the product over the years and would chose this company over others for future needs.

April 27, 2015I wish there were a rating for time to initial visit. Milgard is very good to deal with. Phone reps are helpful and friendly, their service techs call you when they're on their way, and they show up on time and do the job right the first time.
The only negative is having to wait almost a month to schedule a tech for a home service visit. Yikes! Thankfully, each time I've had to call it wasn't urgent, but nonetheless, it would be better if they could shorten the wait time down to within a couple of weeks.

April 27, 2015I was expecting a hassle to get three windows replaced that had become defective. There was a strange streaking and some fogging in between the panes. It was so easy from beginning to end I'm embarrassed it took me so long to deal with the problem. The initial email exchange gave them the info they needed for the replacement windows and a few weeks later the job was finished in about an hour. The Tech went straight to work and was very professional. No chit chat- he was a pleasant, quick worker who left the new window panes so perfectly clean you'd think there's no glass there at all. I'm so glad we went with Milgard 10 years ago!

April 26, 2015I really like your staff and the quality of Milgard products, which is what will keep me coming back. However, we had a few hiccups on this recent repair--the first replacement window was the wrong window (size & orientation); and the second works great but came with a damaged hand grip (looks like it was banging up against something in transit) (photo attached). Not a big deal except it damaged grip faces the door when entering a small room, so it stands out. If you send me another handgrip, perhaps I can replace it myself?

April 26, 2015Milgard stood behind their guarantee. We had two window seals that failed. We went to the store where we purchased the windows and they put us in contact with a Milgard representative. She was very helpful and professional. She told us each step we needed to resolve the problem. An appointment was scheduled and the service person who re-installed new windows was on time, quick and professional. New windows were installed at no cost to us. The only thing that was a bit of a problem was the scheduling as, in our area, the service person only comes on Wednesdays but we were still able to get the windows replaced in a timely manner. We are very satisfied with Milgard.

April 26, 2015Initial phone call - rep was connecting me to local Milgard office, was on hold for 10+ minutes before I finally hung up and called back. Rep said phone system down which is why I was on hold so long....she put me on hold and then had no way to tell me that she couldn't connect the call.....not so great. I had to call back on a different day when phone system working. Second call - rep was friendly and efficient, helped me set up the service request, although the phone call did take about 20 minutes from start to finish by the time she put in all the info. That seemed a bit long, but at least it was done. Called a 3rd time to add a few more windows to the service request -- that rep was intially trying to reschedule my service appointment, which I wasn't happy with. But the original appointment was kept. Service technician was nice, efficient, and helpful. The windows he fixed now work wonderfully -- I had no idea the windows were supposed to open so easily....I should have had him fix ALL the windows in the house. Guess the initial installer did a poor job installing the windows.
