Milgard exceeded my expectations in handling the warranty service. Once I wrote to them about the moisture in some of the windows in the house, they came and inspected the windows. They then made a list of all the windows which needed service, came back in a reasonable time to replace them and did that with great professionalism.

April 23, 2015The service representative arrived during the time period that was scheduled. He examined our window, decided what needed to be done , removed the window and sash and re-formed the window sash and re-installed the glass.Everything was done quickly, and he told me to leave the window closed for a few days to make sure that the problem stayed corrected.

April 22, 2015I was skeptical when i called Milgard regarding my 22-year old "fogged" double-pane window.I thought the service department would laugh and tell me "sorry" and point to the small print,and deny my warranty claim.
But ,lo and behold,service co-ordinator Patricia Dumenigo walked me through the process,via e-mail and phone.
The fogged window didn't have the manufacturing number,just a date,but she found my info in the system and she set up a date for the serviceman to come out.
The 2-hour window was 7-9 AM.I am not lying when I tell you that at 7 on the dot,Glen Mathews,the service tech,called to say he was down the street,and would be arriving in a minute.
Within 45 minutes he had swapped out the window and cleaned up the few specks of dust,and was on his way to his next appt.
All I can say is "WOW !".The Milgard service dept. has raised the bar!
If all companies treated their customers like Milgard,we would all be living in a happier world.

April 22, 2015The men who come here to service windows are pleasant, knowledgeable and competent, although it takes forever to get service here- many weeks. But, after having lived with easily opened and closed Anderson windows and only needing service for one foggy Anderson door after more than 30 years in that house, I am seriously under-impressed with our Milgard. They are only a little over 6 years old and have needed repeated calls to repair of balances on all of them but the smallest one and had to replace a foggy window already. I can't close the tops, either (and so can't lock the windows), because the frames bend too much and it requires more muscle and arm stretch than I have to push on the corners to do so. I do NOT recommend these if there is a better choice.

April 22, 2015There were two techs doing the service. The driver was a bit surley when he arrived. When I asked him why he had to enter our home, he said, "do you want me to install the window or not?" instead of simply saying he needed to loosen the foam tape holding the window in place. After I explained that I was not trying to create a problem only wanted to know why, he seemed OK after that...prehaps a bad drive from Chandler.

April 22, 2015First I had no idea that the door would still have warranty on it. Tanya was the first person to get back to me and she was fantastic, led me through the process with ease. Then came Robert Perreira to install the glass, right on time and it was fast and everything was clean when he left my home. One company in town wanted $1100.00 to fix it and another wanted $650.00 to do the job but said to get a hold of MilGard that it should be covered and it was. This is the way service should go, all company's should stand behind their products like this. Thanx, Ted

April 22, 2015As a result of a fogged window, I call Milgard to request a replacement. The service rep on the phone was very professional, thorough and had a wonderful demeanor. I had initially given her the wrong dimensions and when I called back to correct the information, she very patiently went through the specs on our house (from new construction in 1997) and found the correct window dimensions.
The in-home service techs were very pleasant and efficient. The whole process took 30 minutes and I am very happy that we used Milgard windows.

April 21, 2015Our windows are less than nine years old and two windows required replacing due to the tinting deteriorating. Also, we have had two windows fracture on the inside pane in identical patterns. The technician said that is from the cold. It doesn't get that cold here in Newport Beach. This should not happen. How many more windows will we have to replace? The tinting was covered under warranty, but the breakage from "cold" is not. This is not only inconvenient, but costly. We are very unhappy with the quality of your product.

April 21, 2015Only problem I had was the inability to tell me what time of day the appointment would be. I rescheduled the appointment 2 times because my schedule is random and to take an entire day off because I can't get the 2 hour window a month in advance when the appointment day is scheduled is a bit rediculous. Other than that went perfect when the two hour window (1-2 day notice) fit my schedule. Service was done in about 20 minutes in time slot and installers were nice and professional.
