Milgard Windows Distribution Manager
Looking for Milgard Window Distribution Manager to provide general department management

Milgard Windows is now looking for a new Distribution Manager to provide general department management in the area of delivery operations and fleet management. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the department while maintaining a high level of customer service and meeting budget requirements. Assists and develops direct reports to achieve desired results. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage shipping percentages and backorders
Maintain DOT files
Oversee cost maintenance of delivery and warehouse departments
Overseees pricing of freight, leases and shipping materials and supplies
Oversee the delivery activities of milgard windows products to dealers, contractors and jobsites throughout location's geographic region
Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of deliveries to meet and exceed customers' expectations while optimizing loads and minimizing work hours.
Review all paperwork in order to plan work activities, schedule appropriate personnel and balance loads.
Manage expense accounts for department personnel
Create and execute MPS objectives; meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS
Reflect milgard windows business values and milgard windows Philosophy in all business interactions
Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION:
Supervises Delivery and Warehouse

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 3-5 years relatedexperience.
DOT licensed driver preferred
Prior delivery supervision and employee management experience
Knowledge of delivery operations, distribution legalities and employee management
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
High School diploma
BS Degree preferred

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

Read, write and understand the English language

Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Attention to detail with strong organizational skills

Excellent customer service skills WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work performed indoors in a climate controlled environment or in a warehouse type facility
