LAS VEGAS - January 21, 2003 - INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS' SHOW - Integrity® Windows and Doors unveiled one of the years most highly anticipated new product introductions today at the 2003 International Builders' Show. The new Integrity Sliding French Door, scheduled to be released in Spring 2003, delivers virtually all the features and benefits on a builder's wish list - a classic wood interior, high performance Ultrex® exterior, sturdy dual-point lock, new eight-foot panel height option, pre-assembled frames and panels - and more. The Sliding French Door rounds out Integrity's door portfolio, giving builders greater flexibility, design options and value.

The Sliding French Door features Integrity's signature Ultrex exterior. Ultrex is an advanced pultruded fiberglass material that vastly outperforms and outlasts vinyl and roll-form aluminum. It is made up of strong, thin cables of glass that are saturated with a polyester resin to create a material that is so hard it's used in bridge construction and spacecraft design. Integrity's® Sliding French Door is built to perform for the long-term. The door's core structural backbone is made up of Ultrex®, which has a tensile strength equivalent to steel. Ultrex gets its strength from Integrity's pultrusion process, which uses hundreds of tightly woven glass rovings, hardened by a thermoset liquid resin, to form uncompromising shapes. As a result, Ultrex is more than a cladding on Integrity windows and doors - it is the structural support that stands the test of time. For added protection, Ultrex is reinforced with silicone-injected corner keys on the frame and panels to create a firm, nearly impenetrable seal. The combined effect is a Sliding French Door that meets the Window and Door Manufacturer Association's Design Pressure 40 rating.

Virtually no maintenance.

Thanks to a patented coating process, Ultrex has a finish that meets the American Architectural Manufacturer Association's (AAMA) 613-97 performance specification for pultruded fiberglass products. The finish is so tough; it resists fading, marring, scratching or chalking. Even the most ruthless environment is no match for the non-corrosive and chemically-resistant Ultrex finish. As a fiberglass-based material, Ultrex expands and contracts at the same rate as glass, keeping sealants and glass tightly adhered on the Sliding French Door. This significantly reduces two of the most problematic and time-consuming callbacks for the building trade - seal failures and stress cracks. Ultrex's negligible rate of expansion also enhances the material's stability.

Homeowners and builders can choose from two color options, Stone White and Pebble Gray, or paint the Ultrex® with the color of their choice. Divided lite options include easy-to-clean grilles-between-the-glass, and removable wood grilles with spring-loaded pins that make removal and cleaning a snap.
